Questions about the Portfolio

Welcome to the FAQ for the Portfolio screen! Here we answer your questions about managing and getting insight into your crypto investments. Whether you’re wondering about the “Total Balance,” how the “Value Development” is calculated, or what those “Profit/Loss” percentages mean — this guide will clarify it. If your question isn’t listed here, please contact us via the support form.

Where can I find my total balance?

You can view your total balance at the top of the screen, which shows the current value of all cryptocurrencies in your portfolio.

How much have I invested in total?

Your total investment is displayed and shows the total amount you’ve spent on buying crypto.

How is my total investment calculated?

The investment for a cryptocurrency is the sum of all purchase transactions minus the sum of all sale transactions.

How has my portfolio value changed?

The “Value Development” gives you insight into how the value of your portfolio has changed over time.

What is my profit or loss so far?

Your “Profit/Loss Percentage” is calculated by subtracting the investment you made (what you spent to buy the coins) from the current total value of each coin you own. You then divide that number by your investment and multiply by one hundred to get a percentage. An accurate profit/loss calculation requires that you synchronise your transactions, preferably without any balance differences.

With our handy “balance difference” function you can fix any discrepancies in your transactions.

Can I filter to only coins I’ve made profit or loss on?

Yes, using the All/Profit/Loss filter you can filter your portfolio to view only the coins on which you have profit or loss.

How can I switch between different cryptocurrencies?

Use the coin filter to select specific cryptocurrencies you wish to view.

What happens if I suppress holdings of low value?

If you turn on the “Suppress holdings of low value” switch, all cryptocurrencies valued under €0.01 will not be visible in your portfolio.

Where can I find settings for my portfolio overview?

The Settings button allows you to adjust the display of different columns in your overview.

What do the percentages next to each coin mean?

These percentages show the price change of each coin over the last hour, the last 24 hours, and the last 7 days.

How do I change the number of results displayed per page?

Use the dropdown menu “Show number of results” at the bottom of the page to set how many coins you want to see at once.

How do I navigate through my portfolio?

Use the navigation buttons at the bottom to scroll through different pages of your portfolio.

How often are the prices refreshed?

The prices are refreshed every 15 minutes.

Which coins are synchronised?

We synchronise the top 5,000 coins from CoinMarketCap.
